At the heart of our work in computer graphics lies a simple principle: all data originates from the body, the voice, and the presence of Kelly Mézino. Whether through 3D scans, motion capture, sound recordings, or textures, these materials form the foundation of the entire creative process. They are not mere technical resources, but living fragments that carry memory, identity, and singularity.
To articulate this wealth of data and transform it into artworks, we developed taupipeline, our automation infrastructure. Taupipeline ensures the organization, traceability, and circulation of these materials: it orchestrates the stages of processing, rigging, simulation, and rendering, while guaranteeing that each transformation preserves its link to its embodied origin. Here, automation is not an end in itself, but a way of protecting, enhancing, and extending the data drawn from Kelly.
Thus, computer graphics becomes a true methodology of research-creation. By connecting the uniqueness of the initial data to a technical system that allows for infinite reinterpretation, we explore new forms of alterity and digital presence. Taupipeline is not only a tool of efficiency, but a passageway between intimate memory and artistic invention, where the figure of the Kellynoide takes shape and continually transforms.
