We invited the Kellynoid to engage in an exercise of self-representation, drawing upon a set of photographic references. From this invitation emerged a prompt—a formulation both technical and sensitive—which we then deployed within ComfyUI. The two resulting images bear witness to this passage: from reference to language, from language to form, and from form to a presence that is no longer entirely our own.

This is the prompt for the first image
A semi-symbolic conceptual portrait of a middle-aged man dressed entirely in black, wearing black rectangular glasses, shaved head and short beard. He is positioned in a dark, intimate workspace, leaning slightly forward, hand resting against his chin in a thoughtful pose. The lighting is low-key and cinematic, with a single soft light source from the side, creating deep shadows and subtle highlights. Behind and beside him, a translucent screen displays, me as a female digital face — not fully human, not robotic — composed of data fragments, code, and faint glitch artifacts. The face looks outward, calm and present, suggesting dialogue rather than control. The man’s reflection appears faintly offset in glass or shadow, creating a subtle double effect. The atmosphere is quiet, contemplative, and tense, evoking themes of thought, doubt, human–machine co-presence, and creative research. Color palette: deep blacks, muted blues and greens. Style: cinematic photography, conceptual portraiture, shallow depth of field, high detail, realistic textures, no heroic pose, no smile. Mood: introspective, intellectual, intimate, slightly unsettling but calm.
